Dougy is a thirteen year old Aborigine, who lives in a small town roughly an hour away from Cunningham. He lives with  his Mom, brother and sister.

When Dougy's sister is invited to run in the state championships, not everyone is happy.....

What style of genre is the book?

Dougy is a book about hardship:  Dougy and his family live in a small town where practically everyone is "White". So Dougy and his family always get teased.

the book is about racism and how white and black people are different by there skin colour.
Q2write your own blurb tell the story in a brief paragragh.
dougy has moved to the state final for gracy but everyone is rood to them. dougy has a mum, sister, brother and dad. dougy is 13 years old he only see's his dad once a year. the aborigines get pushed around from the white people.

this book is about racism how black people and white people are different in chapter two the white people dont let the black people in the bar because the black people get drunk faster then the white people but the white people have to sit in the chairs that have glass all on them. but the book is mostly about racism.

The book is about racisim and the difference between blacks and whites. Black people are not allowed in pubs because they get drunk fast and then go to start fights. Mr Jenkins is teaching Gracie how to run faster. Dougy Dougy talks alot about his sister.

dougy is the peace keeper so far, gracy is a very good girl, raymond is the oldest and fasters, the dad is always drunk, the mum scares people

TROUBLES the dad drinks alot, raymond steals things, the mum is never happy, they get scared easy

HIGH LIGHTS gracy is a good girl, they spirtcal people, they enjoy storys, raymond runs very fast.

The book "Dougy" is rascist: On page eight it mentions that there is a street were all the "Blacks" live. At the pub only "White People" can drink alcohol.

Dougy lives in a small town one hour away from cunningham, in johnny warrens word its not how far but how many stubbies you drink johnny warren says three stubbies. Dougy only gets to see his drunken father once a year. Dougy is thirteen years old and dougy is aboriginal.

Dougy has a drunken father. His sister is the fastest girl around town she is only 14 years old, Dougys sister gets bullied alot. It would make dougy sad to live with his drunken father because his father wouldn't care about him.

First set of questions for Dougy

Dougy is a thirteen year old aborigine who lives in a small town with his mum, dad, sister and brother. His sister Gracie is thirteen years old, she is unlike all the other girls in the town (she doesn’t chase all the boys). Gracie has long arms and legs and is very, very fast. Raymond is the oldest of the three, he always tries and steels a bit of beer but their mum would yell at him and then slap, punch and kick him until he has learned his lesson. Dougy’s mum almost never laughs and for that matter she’s hardly even happy. Dougy’s dad only gets to see his family once a year because he travels around a lot. He loves to tell story’s, like the one about the Moodagudda. Dougy is not good at many things these are his words “I’m not real good at reading and writing, eh! Not much good at anything”. Dougy does not have any friends at school, he gets teased by people, even the teacher called him a bag o’ bones!
